The North Shore Regatta held at SIRC last Saturday 19 November was a great success in the searing heat and humidity. Unfortunately the heat and humidity crept up to the point that the regatta had to be cancelled. 14 races were not contested as the heat policy had to be invoked by the Regatta Referee.
The statistics showed an increase over last year in entries (up 30%), seats (up 26%) and athletes (up 15%). All in all a pleasing result.
